Virgin Airlines Has WiFi On Every Flight
Something to consider next time you’re shelling out money for airfare – Virgin Airlines is now offering internet at every seat in every flight (details). Oprah is very excited, tomorrow she will host the first air-to-ground SKYPE video call from her studio to a Virgin America plane.
You can use laptops and hand-held devices. Costs:
$7.95 for handheld devices (regardless of flight time)*
$9.95 for flights less than 3 hours*
$12.95 for flights of 3 hours or more*
The move is a game-changer, Virgin is the first airline to offer WiFi on every plane.
Speaking of air travel perks, have you been using your miles? You should – last fall I signed up for a Virgin credit card because they gave me a free one way flight. I used that card to buy a laptop, resulting in a zillion points, which I then redeemed for a free flight – resulting in me flying to and from LA for $12.56.
Score.
