The Glee cast version of “Don’t Stop Believin’” is currently #1 on iTunes Top Songs chart, but you can grab the Journey cover here for free (Mediafire).

Individual songs from Glee will be available on iTunes at night after episodes air. This week you can also grab the gleeful cover of Amy Winehouse’s “Rehab.”

Having American Idol as your lead in is a great way to kick off a show – Glee opened to 10 million people. Infected fans were on iTunes buying the Journey cover before the East Coast broadcast was over. Buzz is just starting about the hour long musical-comedy on Fox about an optimistic Ohio high school teacher trying to get his ragtag Glee Club to Nationals.

Always progressive, Fox is trying something new, premiering the debut episode of Glee four months before the show is set to join their Fall 2009 lineup. A full soundtrack is expected at that time as well.
